How to Turn Sales Calls Into Video Topics

When a founder says “I don't know what to post,” there is often a useful topic library hiding in sales calls, customer questions, onboarding conversations, and support requests.

Those conversations show what buyers are trying to understand. The job is to capture the pattern without turning private customer details into public content.

Start with recurring questions, not a transcript dump

List questions that come up repeatedly. Look for questions about the problem, the options, the risks, the cost, the timeline, and what happens after a customer says yes.

Do not copy and publish a prospect's call. Remove identifying details, combine repeated themes, and use a customer's language only when it is appropriate and permitted. Answer the underlying question in a way that helps other people.

Sort each question by the decision it supports

Research the angle before scripting

A common question can lead to several different videos. “How long does this take?” might become an explanation of timeline factors, a preventable delay, a case example with permission, or a plain description of the first week after hiring.

Look at buyer language, competitor answers, and gaps that remain confusing. Choose an angle that matches the client's expertise and the next decision the audience needs to make.

Turn the angle into something the founder can say naturally

Before writing a full script, ask the founder for their real answer in a voice note or a few bullets. Keep the phrases and examples that sound like them. A script should help them explain the idea clearly, not make them sound like an actor reading agency copy.

Track whether the topic did its job

Record the topic, audience stage, source question, platform, opening angle, CTA, reach, meaningful actions, and qualified conversations. Do not declare a topic a winner from views alone. Look for evidence that the intended audience watched, clicked, asked a useful question, or moved toward the service.

Keep the system useful and respectful

Customer calls are source material, not automatic public content. Protect names and sensitive details. Get consent before using someone's direct quote, identifiable story, recording, or result. Ask clients to review regulated or technical claims.
